Last updated: June 2, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Shoyu, including our website, desktop app, downloads, and related services. By using Shoyu, you agree to these terms.

Using Shoyu

Shoyu helps users understand software workflows by answering questions and providing on-screen guidance. You are responsible for your use of Shoyu, the information you provide, and any action you take based on guidance from the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement to use Shoyu. If you use Shoyu on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms. You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Shoyu or help anyone else do so.

  • Do not violate laws, regulations, third-party rights, or contractual obligations.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with Shoyu or its infrastructure.
  • Do not upload, submit, or share harmful code, unlawful content, or information you do not have the right to use.
  • Do not use Shoyu to build competing products through improper access, copying, or automated extraction.

Your Content

You retain ownership of information, prompts, files, screenshots, feedback, and other content you submit or choose to share with Shoyu. You grant us the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, and use that content to provide, protect, and improve the service.

Shoyu Materials

Shoyu, including its software, website, designs, trademarks, models, documentation, and other materials, is owned by Shoyu or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no rights are transferred to you.

Third-Party Services

Shoyu may link to or integrate with third-party services, websites, models, platforms, or software. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or policies. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Updates and Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Shoyu at any time. We may also release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the desktop app. Some features may change over time or may not be available in all environments.

Disclaimers

Shoyu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Shoyu may generate inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected guidance. You should use your judgment before relying on outputs or taking action.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shoyu and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of Shoyu.

Termination

You may stop using Shoyu at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms, create risk for Shoyu or others, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Shoyu after an update means you accept the updated terms.
